Ovy Rianintya Subandrio

Ovy is currently a student at Victoria University of Wellington, doing a degree in Bachelor of Commerce and Administration.

She has a passion for dancing, and has been doing it since she was 10 years old. She began to take an interest after learning Indonesian traditional dances in Dar es Salaam, to participate in dance performances that are held by the Indonesia Embassy in Tanzania, east Africa.

Since moving to Wellington a few years ago, her dance interest grew from Indonesian traditional dances to hip hop and ballroom.

To further expand her dancing skills and knowledge, she joined Pump Dance (Wellington), and during her spare time, enjoys taking classes at Victoria University, 'Dance with Me @Vic'. She also practice ballroom steps with her father as an early introduction to ballroom.

Ovy joined Pelangi Nusantara in 2008, and has been enjoying the 'ride with the team'.

Pelangi Nusatara has help her strengthen her dancing skills, and develop new ones by learning different kind of traditional dances from Indonesia.

Nevertheless, she is proud to be a part of a group that contributes in introducing her beautiful home Indonesia, through cultural performances.

All thanks to the well-experienced coach, and amazing dance members who have made dancing more fun, entertaining, and meaningful.
